Steel Frame Sizes
Every steel-frame model is offered in round and oval sizes.
Doughboy publishes exact square footage, gallon capacity, and expanded capacity for every round and oval pool. Use the reference below to plan, then come into the Modesto showroom with a yard sketch and we'll size the right pool with you.
Match the pool to the family
A 15–18 ft round (≈5,000–7,300 gallons) fits a young family of 3–4. A 24 ft round (≈13,000 gallons) is the most popular all-around size in Modesto. 27–32 ft rounds and 18 ft-wide ovals are entertainer sizes.
Round vs. oval, pick by yard
Rounds are the most water for the dollar and the easiest install. Ovals fit long, narrow yards along a fence line, a 33×18 oval gives you a true lap length without taking the whole backyard.
48" vs. 52" wall height
Most families step up to the 52" wall, it adds roughly 9% more water, more room for adults at chest-deep, and a more substantial look. 48" is the right call for younger families and smaller yards.
